什么是大漆?
大漆，也称为天然漆或者生漆、国漆。是一种从漆树上采割的乳白色纯天然液体涂料。这种涂料在接触空气后会逐步氧化，表面变得干涸硬化而成的漆膜。漆艺是最古老的工艺之一，并且漆艺是世界公认的涂料之王。它是环保、健康、纯天然的材料。漆膜质地坚硬、牢固、耐磨、防霉、防水、耐高温、耐酸碱。

什么是大漆葫芦？
大漆葫芦是用天然葫芦做胚胎，进行开口掏瓤取籽，植物蒸煮上色。内部用天然大漆做内胆，外部楷清工艺，纯手工制作出来的。能装酒、热水、咖啡、茶等饮品。葫芦作为盛具，即美观，又实用。

China has a long history with gourd culture. In Chinese, gourd is said 葫芦（hú lu), which sounds like 福禄( fú lù). It means good fortune, salary, happiness, and blessings.

Our gourds are all grown in-house and are purely natural. After ripening, those gourds with good quality and beautiful shapes are carefully selected. Then, they are carefully carved into excellent pieces of art by famous Chinese gourd carving artists. We put a lot of time, effort, and energy. And you will be blown away by the details of the artwork.

• Our gourds can be used for storage. This storable gourd has an opening at the top, and our artisans have treated the inside of the gourd to prevent leaks and moisture. The opening is also sealed. It is ideal for storing any item.
• The inside of the gourd is polished by 3 layers of the natural liquid lacquer from the lacquer tree. It is clean and hygienic, which is safe for everyone of us.
• The outside of the gourd is natural plants, steaming and boiling. Usually it will be steamed 3 times and boiled 3 times.

Many of our ancestors used it to hold wine. It also exists in many of our swordsmen TV series.
Now, most of us would use it to hold water, coffee, tea, cola, and other drinks.

NOTE:
*Beware of scalding with hot water;
*Please keep it away from direct sunlight.
*Please keep it away from a humid environment.
*Please protect the gourds from pests.
*Often, playing with the gourd can make its color deeper, lustrous, and more lubricated.
*Remember to TWIST the bottle cap in and out to avoid the crack of the gourd’s mouth.

FOR FIRST USE:
1. Keep the bottle’s mouth open for one day to release the smell in the gourd.
2. If you use it to hold tea. We suggest you put hot, strong tea in the gourd and keep it there for a while. Then pour the tea out when it has cooled down. Repeat the above steps several times.
3. If you use it to hold other drinks like water, coffee, or wine. We suggest you put in some hot lemon water (about 50℃ or 60℃) and repeat several times.

HOW TO WASH?
Put rice and water inside the gourd and shake it for a while. Or just use dishwashing liquid to wash its inside.
